Will Gold Set a New Record?

Gold is preparing for a new attempt at a historic peak after its price has held steadily around the key level of $4,200 per ounce. The upward trend since September remains fully intact, and the 50-day moving average continues to provide reliable support. If the metal closes firmly above the area around $4,250, the market will likely see a new move toward an all-time high.

Seasonality will also work in favor of further gains. Historical data shows that gold typically accelerates its rise toward the end of the year and often continues to appreciate in January and February. This means that one of the strongest periods for the metal is approaching.
