According to Bank of America, a number of companies that have reported “consistent and superior” earnings growth over the past 10 years could be poised for strong results and are worth watching.
“Since data began being collected in 1998, Global Steady Compounders shares have outperformed the MSCI AC World index by 5.2% year-to-date and have outperformed in more months than most strategies we track,” strategist Nigel Tupper wrote Tuesday. “Stocks screened as Steady Compounders tend to outperform over extended periods.”
There are circumstances in which “steady compounders” do not perform well. Tupper writes that companies tend to underperform when bond yields rise with inflation and during “significant” periods of market risk, given that stocks reflect earnings stability.
The strategist screened stocks with an average score above 95 out of 100, based on 10-year earnings growth, “stable” earnings growth, two-year earnings growth forecast per share, earnings revisions and its 12-month yield.
The current earnings season has been solid so far, helping the market reach new highs. Of the 199 S&P 500 companies that have reported earnings, nearly 82% have beaten expectations, according to FactSet.
Here are some of the names that appeared on the “stable companies” screen in the US.

Global payments technology company Visa was among the highest-scoring names on the list, with a score of 100 in the stable companies ranking. The stock outperformed the S&P 500 in 2025, rising nearly 12%, compared to the broad market index’s roughly 8% gain during the period.
Visa is due to report its third-quarter results after the close of trading on Tuesday. Analysts surveyed by LSEG expect the company to report double-digit percentage growth in profit and revenue compared to the year-ago period.
Most Wall Street analysts are bullish on Visa, as 32 out of 40 analysts have a strong “buy” or “hold” rating on the name, according to LSEG data.

Microsoft, which reports after the close of business on Wednesday, also had a score of 100. Analysts expect the G7 company to report about 14% year-over-year profit and revenue growth.
The stock is also outperforming the broader market, posting a significant gain of over 21% in 2025.
Like Visa, the majority of analysts are optimistic about the stock’s trajectory over the next few months, with 56 of the 62 analysts covering it having a strong “buy” or “hold” rating.

Financial technology platform Intuit also ranked 100th on the list of companies offering solid compounding investments. Its shares have risen more than 27% in 2025 and about 35% in the past six months, outperforming the broader market.
The company is scheduled to publish its operating results at the end of August.
